Specialists from the 5th Special Forces Regiment (5th SFR) from Žilina collected and on Friday, December 17, 2021, handed over toys, books, sports equipment and clothes to more than four dozen children from the Center for Children and Families in city of Bytča.    

    They tried to please the children from the Center in at least this way and make the Christmas holidays more pleasant for them. Due to the pandemic situation, it was not possible to meet the children directly, but through the teachers, all the gifts got to them under the Christmas tree. And the reward from the children - drawings and hand-made works - the most beautiful gifts, will decorate the premises of the Žilina barracks throughout the holidays.

     The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, General Daniel Zmeko, joined this lovely activity. He sent a greeting to the Center, which we handed over to the Director of the Center, Alžbeta Masnicová, directly inside the Žilina Regiment barracks on Monday, December 27. Thanks to the Military Support Foundation, the soldiers were also able to pack fairytale books with audio recordings for the children.
